Atlanta Public Museum
The Atlanta Public Museum, located in the Historic 1867 buildings, the Union Hall, the Downey Building, and the Palm’s Grill, is home to a treasure trove of photography, public records, historical information, memorabilia and artifacts that help bring Atlanta’s stories to life.
Through Permanent, Revolving and Special Event exhibits, visitors are drawn into the history that makes Atlanta one of the favored stops Midway on Illinois’ Mother Road, Route 66.
In addition, the Route 66 Arcade Museum is located within the Atlanta Public Museum, and visitors are encouraged to play their favorite pinball and video games from yesteryear.
We are located on SW Arch Street, right on Route 66. The entrance is located at the 114 location.
